Line 2 vaporetto
Use this for the Grand Canal, Rialto, Accademia, San Marco, and the Giudecca side.
From Tronchetto
You are staying at Hampton by Hilton Venice Isola Nuova on Tronchetto. To reach the historic centre, use the ACTV vaporetto, Venice's public waterbus.
From Tronchetto there are two useful choices. The vaporetto is the scenic water route. The People Mover is the quick land shuttle to Piazzale Roma.
Use this for the Grand Canal, Rialto, Accademia, San Marco, and the Giudecca side.
Use this if you only need Piazzale Roma, the bus/car gateway into Venice.
Touch the ticket or card to the validator before boarding. If you change vehicle, validate again.
The hotel, the nearby Tronchetto stop, and the vaporetto all look like this. Match the ACTV stop name and line number before boarding.
Line 2 connects Tronchetto with the main arrival points and many central stops. Use it for Piazzale Roma, Santa Lucia railway station, Rialto, Accademia, San Marco, and the Giudecca side.
Important: use this as a simple orientation route. Always follow the live ACTV signs at the pier, because stops, platforms, and seasonal service can change.
Take the People Mover. It is the short automated shuttle from Tronchetto to Piazzale Roma, with one intermediate stop at Marittima.
Piazzale Roma is where cars, buses, taxis, and many airport transfers meet Venice. For Cannaregio, walk from Piazzale Roma toward the railway station area and Lista di Spagna, or continue by vaporetto from nearby stops.
Buy before boarding whenever possible. Timed tickets start from the first validation, not from midnight.
Airport journeys are not included in standard city tickets unless the correct airport ticket or supplement is added.
Use a Venezia Unica ticket office, ticket machine, official app, or approved sales point.
Touch the paper ticket or card to the validator at the stop. For mobile tickets, follow the app instructions.
Ticket checks can happen on board or at stops. Keep your ticket ready until your journey is finished.
When you are walking, Venice often uses painted signs on walls instead of big street signs. Follow the destination name, not only your phone map.
The marker is placed at the hotel side of Tronchetto. The map also shows Piazzale Roma, the railway station area, the Grand Canal curve, and San Marco further east.
