Use this guide when departing Venice by private water taxi from Hotel Principe to Venice Marco Polo Airport. The video shows the exact flow: hotel meeting point, pier, water taxi, airport dock, covered walkway, and terminal arrival.

What the transfer looks like

The video follows the guest route from Hotel Principe onto the water taxi and through to Marco Polo Airport. Watch for the short walk from the hotel to the pier, the luggage handoff at the boat, and the covered airport walkway after arrival at the dock.

Transfer Steps

From hotel lobby to airport departures

  • 1Meet at Hotel Principe. Be in the lobby or stated meeting area at the confirmed time with all bags ready.
  • 2Stay with the group. The escort will lead guests from the hotel to the water taxi pier. Venice piers can be narrow, so keep moving carefully and leave space for luggage.
  • 3Board the water taxi. Hand large luggage to the boat staff or porter when asked, then step into the boat one guest at a time.
  • 4Ride across the lagoon. The journey normally runs through Venice canals and out across the lagoon toward Marco Polo Airport.
  • 5Arrive at the airport dock. Collect your bags from the boat staff before leaving the water taxi area.
  • 6Follow signs to the terminal. Use the covered walkway and moving walkways from the water terminal toward airport departures.
  • 7Continue to check-in. Once inside the terminal, check the screens for your airline counter and proceed with normal airport departure formalities.

Build in walking time

The boat does not stop directly at the airline desks. At Marco Polo Airport, water taxis use the airport dock area, then guests continue on foot through the covered walkway to the passenger terminal.

Keep essentials with you

Passports, medication, valuables, chargers, and travel documents should stay in your hand luggage. Large bags may be handled separately while boarding and leaving the boat.
