I grew up in Koper — a small bilingual town in Slovenia, five miles from the Italian border. Italy was never really a foreign country to me. It was the next street over, the other language at the market, the place we drove to on weekends. That familiarity runs deeper than any guidebook can reach.
After 25 years, 19 of them with Trafalgar, I still feel it every time. The groups I love most span generations — young families and grandparents, honeymooners and seasoned travellers, five to ninety on the same coach, sharing the same table. Connecting them with the local people I've known for years — that's what makes Italy feel like it belongs to them.
Rome, Capri, Pompeii, Florence, Venice — the full sweep, and every time I see guests fall completely in love with it.
Rome to Venice in 11 days. Same depth, same magic — the perfect first Italy tour.
Vienna, Budapest, Prague, Kraków, Berlin. The Europe most people haven't discovered yet.
Zagreb to Dubrovnik. Plitvice, Bled, Split, the Adriatic. Guests arrive unsure, leave converted.
Trafalgar has been taking guests around the world since 1947. As part of The Travel Corporation — a privately owned travel group established in 1920 — it operates across more than 70 countries with over a million guests a year across all its brands.
What sets Trafalgar apart is not the destinations — it's the philosophy. Be My Guest dinners with local families. Make Travel Matter experiences that support communities. Local Specialists who were born in the cities they guide. These aren't marketing phrases. I have been doing this for 19 years. I see the difference every time.

The big sweep: Rome, Capri, Pompeii, Florence and Venice. A natural next step if Italy Bellissimo has made you want the full story.
Rome to Venice with Sorrento and Florence in an elegant rhythm. Choose this if you want Italy again, but with a warmer southern note.
Vienna, Budapest, Prague, Krakow and Berlin. A strong choice if you loved the history, architecture, and city rhythm of this tour.
Lake Bled, Plitvice, Split and Dubrovnik. This is personal territory for me, and a beautiful surprise after Italy.
